Advanced Train-the-Trainer Program

Telehandler loading pallets into a trailer

At 10:15 a.m. on May 21, 2019, employees were unloading boxes of solar panels from a truck and marking the boxes.

While one employee was unloading a box with a telehandler, it backed into another employee that was marking a box, resulting in a fractured leg.

OUR TRAINING

Train-the-Trainer programs through Employee Forklift Training are highly focused on developing safe and efficient material handling equipment instructors.  Your employees receive in-depth, high-quality forklift, and material handling equipment training focused on licensing safe and efficient equipment operators.

Being capable of delivering training to in-house employee trainers is the most cost-efficient and schedule friendly method of training and re-certifying your employees to OSHA's 29 CFR 1910.178 equipment operator standards for years to come.

OSHA does not mention anything as it relates to re-training equipment instructors, the way they do for equipment operators.  They leave it up to the employer to determine if an update would be beneficial.  It's important to note that the certification stays with the employee, not the employer.  Meaning if your instructor leaves the company, you will need to re-evaluate your trainer situation.

Incident Investigation Reporting | WorkSafeBC

If a workplace incident takes place, employers have a responsibility to investigate to identify the cause and hazards, which helps prevent similar incidents from happening in the future. This video shows the steps in an incident investigation and demonstrates the Employer Incident Investigation Report (EIIR) documentation and submission process. In this video, a supervisor and worker discuss an incident at work, how they corrected the issue immediately, and how they fill out their employer incident investigation report. This video serves as a resource on the steps for completing a workplace incident investigation report in British Columbia. It also reminds employers that investigations need to involve the joint health and safety committee or worker health and safety representative where applicable. HOW DOES OUR FORKLIFT TRAINER PROGRAM WORK?

Our train-the-trainer course takes your experienced operators and teaches them how to train their peers effectively and efficiently.  Our trainer instructors focus heavily on ensuring your operators are extremely well versed in all technical aspects of the operation, observation, coaching, facility hazard assessments, and more.

Our trainer prepares your employee instructor candidates in understanding sit-down forklifts, stand-up forklifts, cherry pickers, reach trucks, turret trucks, electric walkie riders, scissor lifts, and more.

Our train-the-trainer programs for material handling equipment / powered industrial trucks aren't to be confused with other training providers where they offer certification for a few dollars with an hour or two of invested time, many times delivered online.

FORKLIFT TRAINING COSTS vs. RESULTS

It's critical to remember that you get what you pay for when it comes to forklift and material handling equipment operator certification training.  Training your powered industrial truck operators, providing license re-certification, and more must be considered as an investment focused on protecting your employees, assets, materials, and the company's market position.

Our train-the-trainer program course provides extensive time dedicated to ensuring trainer candidates understand and can train, observe and coach your operators to operate their trucks safely..
